Travertine

This variety of travertine is a blend of beige, walnut and pale brown colours and comes in a different array of tile sizes and can be used both on walls and floors. It is a very hard wearing tile and widely used by modern architecture as facade material, wall cladding and flooring. Once the travertine is quarried, the tiles are manufactured by cutting across the layers of sediment and so each tile contains the right amount of desired variation of colours. Then the travertine is honed and filled to give a smooth matt finish on the surface. The edges are diamond sawn and square cut to give a clear cut finish. The finish tile has a warm feel with a subtle blend of muted colours in the background which gives the stone a rustic feel.

Tumbled Travertine

Tumbled Travertine Tile is produced using unfilled travertine. The travertine used is a very high quality, first grade travertine tile with the strictest colour selection, no grey or black colours allowed. The tumbling process gives these tiles softer, rounded edges for a more aged, antique appearance.
